As senior photographers sometimes, we get stuck in a rut, a sticky, bottomless rut that drags us into using the same poses, the same lighting scheme or same locations. The work, thought great, can become boring and even mundane or even worse lose its uniqueness.
The challenge is to be creative with ever senior I capture.
I constantly am looking for new ideas, new props and new locations. Senior photography is always fun and is a great genre to explore these ideas to try new creative shots. And as much as I would like to say I came up with most of the cool ideas in my sessions, most of the times the styles, ideas and inspiration comes from the seniors. Rarely do I dismiss any ideas a senior gives me on their senior questionnaire, because unlike me they know what is in, and cool (Is cool even cool anymore? I know its not cool to say hip or is it? Man I am old!) In this day and age, they want to expresses themselves, display who they are and not always fit in with the crowd.
STAND out in the crowd, and let us #CaptureHistory.
I have several fun sessions planned in the next months but there is still room.
