What is Covered?

Includedin the price of the Workshop:

Lodging - comfortable, photographer-friendly accommodations that are close to our shooting locations

Most Meals: Breakfasts, Lite-lunches, and dinners and of course late-night snacks and coffee for the overnight shooting hours

Complete Workshop Instruction including: Pre-workshop Zoom to discuss gear and trip details, Classroom type instruction located at the lodging, multiple unique and easy to access locations each night and hands on guidance in the field to make sure you are capturing the best images possible

Local Transportation During the Workshop: the workshop will include transpiration to and from the airport, if needed; to and from shooting locations once you arrive at our lodging and access to the parks for sunrise opportunities and even opportunities to check out the amazing views, wildlife and more. Park permits and fees for workshop activities.

There are a few things that are NOT INCLUDED. Airfare or travel to and from Jackson Hole, alcohol, Gifts, souvenirs and personal items. Additional tickets and park entrance outside of schedule workshop, boat rides, and actives, hotels, cars rental and other cost outside the established dates of workshop.

A deposit is due to reserve your spot.

Final payment due  by May 30th. You will be sent an invoice for your final payment.  You will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours after deposit payment.  Attendees are responsible for their travel, lodging, and food.

Cancellations:  Please speak to me directly about cancellations.  Cancellations made after 14 days prior to the workshop are at the discretion of Come And Take It Photography and will be made on a case by case basis.  Deposits are non refundable.  

A detailed itinerary will be sent to all attendees one month prior to the workshop (and after the final balance is paid). 

Basic Itinerary

August 10, 2026 - Day 1 — Arrival & Orientation Afternoon check-in, gear check, safety overview, and initial education on setting up you gear and getting the shot. Sunset and an early night session focusing practice + Milky Way compositions.

August 11, 2026 Day 2 — Mid Morning review of images from the night before to verify sharp stars and best capture. Afternoon rest. Sunset and Blue Hour over lake and Teton range foregrounds night time shooting over lake and mountains

August 12, 2026 Day 3 — Mid Morning review of images from the night before to verify sharp stars and best capture. Afternoon rest. Blue-hour foregrounds at historic barns; Perseid meteor shower and Milky way photography at barns with possible light painting

August 13, 2026 Day 4 —Early/Mid afternoon Head to Yellowstone NP and White Dome Geyser (~2.5 hr Drive) to capture steaming and erupting Geyser with Milky Way

August 14, 2026 Day 5 — Rest and recover from Yellowstone destination, for night time shooting TBD

August 15, 2026 Day 6 — Pack up, Departures and flights

Michael is a Master, Certified and Craftsman photographer with a passion for capturing the wonders of the night sky, wildlife, and the great outdoors. As lifelong outdoorsman, his love for exploration began early as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout, where he first developed the skills and appreciation for adventure that continue to guide his work today.

Over the years, Michael has camped and backpacked across the United States—from the rolling Appalachian Mountains in the East, throughout the rugged landscapes of Texas, New Mexico and the Southwest, up and down the towering Rocky Mountains, and into the heart of bear country in Alaska’s Katmai National Park.

Behind the lens, Michael has photographed in over one-third of the U.S. national parks, multiple state and national monuments and historical locations, and in multiple Canadian national parks, capturing unforgettable wildlife, breathtaking scenery, and awe-inspiring night skies.

For several years, Michael has been teaching workshops in astrophotography, helping others learn the art of capturing the stars, the Milky Way, and the vast beauty of the night sky. His workshops combine technical expertise with a true love of adventure, offering participants not just instruction, but an unforgettable experience under the stars.
